Newey Celebrates Four Award Wins at the 2026 HTA New Plant Awards

Newey Ltd is celebrating a standout performance at the 2026 HTA New Plant Awards, securing four prestigious awards at this year’s HTA National Plant Show.

Announced on Wednesday 17 June, the HTA New Plant Awards are widely recognised as one of the horticulture industry’s leading benchmarks for excellence. Judged by an independent panel of experts, the awards recognise outstanding new plant introductions that demonstrate innovation, visual appeal, performance and commercial potential.

Leading Newey’s success was a Gold Award for Nepeta Sibirica ‘Serene Wild Orchid’, bred in partnership with Dümmen Orange and Vitroflora.

Further recognition across Newey’s portfolio included:

  • Silver     Award – Phlox paniculata ‘Blue Dolphin’ (Dümmen Orange / Vitroflora)
  • Bronze     Award – Hydrangea ‘First Love’ (Plantipp)
  • Bronze     Award – Betula ‘Fuzzy Feathers’ (Van Vliet New Plants)

Working closely with leading breeders across Europe, Newey continues to identify, trial and introduce high-performing plant varieties for the UK market.
